This quilt was made by a friend from Essex & Suffolk quilters, who won the "longarm quilting prize" that I donated to the Essex & Suffolk Quilters quilt show last year for the winner of the jubilee challenge. It took Jean a while to "cash in" her prize, but here are the results... it has turned out lovely made from a batik jelly roll, and some ligher batik background too.. which breaks up the blue beautifully.
Jean chose a butterscotch colour thread, and "curlz" allover quilting design.

This gorgeous quilt was made by Sarah and was made on the "jelly roll race" basis with added borders.
Sarah chose the "Curlz" allover quilting design, and a bronze colour thread and a flat 80/20 wadding which drapes beautifully.
I love the fabric line used here, it is a Moda range, I don't know the exact name but it is by French General which is a very distinctive style. I just love those greens and terracottas.
